Abbreviation/Stitch Reference
I sometimes tend to forget how to make stitches that I haven't used in a while. I usually just end up googling how to do it, but I sometimes wish I had a list of stitches and wordy descriptions available on one page to jog my memory. If words aren't your thing, I've also linked to some good places where you can find detailed illustrated instructions. I'd take photos myself, but why re-invent the wheel?

| blo |
(back loop only) - This is just an instruction to only stitch into the further of the 2 loops away from you. Usually, crochet is done through both loops of a stitch. Working in only 1 of the loops will give your item an indented look.

Hook Sizes
Clover/Tulip Japan Hooks Conversions
I inherited all my crochet hooks from my grandmother. I love them all, they have a good feel to them. However, she bought most of her hooks from Japan, which uses a different sizing convention than the US. It usually takes me a good 15 min of searching around the internet to find out which hook I need to use for a pattern, since a lot of the hooks only have Japanese writing on them.
